Wildflowers

Let's face it, weatherwise it has been a poor summer, although Scotland has escaped the worst of the rain and floods. Indeed, places such as Barra and the islands, seem to have had the best weather of all. One advantage of the wet is that the wildflowers and grasses have really taken over. We've been on a few walks where the paths have been reclaimed, also due to less people going out I guess. Here is one at Cullaloe nature reserve, just north of Aberdour. I love saying the word - Cullaloe - although I am probably mis-pronouncing it.

Have you been along to Cullaloe this year?
The wild flowers are even better this year than they were last. At some points it's almost a sea of yellows and purples, mixed in with the tall grasses!
